Weekly Announcements - 4 Apr 09

Unusual Historicals was initially conceived as a meeting place for people who love their romance a little off the beaten path. To that end, we'd love to foster more of a community feel. As a slight change of policy, we've decided to open our weekly announcements to anyone. Do you write unusual historicals, either romance or historical fiction? Do you have good news to share about your projects? Anything from a contest final to publication news, new covers, awards, reviews, release dates--we'll be happy to announce it here. So if you have news, send it to Carrie. Links and photos are appreciated.

Contributor Jennifer Mueller's hardback Regency, A RUINED SEASON will be released on April 30 by Robert Hale Publishing.
Sophie Greenwood went to London to have her season hoping to find a husband. If only they had told her that her father had lost all his money, but gossip spreads quickly around London and already everyone knew Baron Canmore's scandal. Now two years later, will Sophie ruin another season? No one seems to want to make staying scandal-free an easy task. Almost everywhere she turns someone is trying to make her the laughing stock. "Fleeing London" once more seems to be her only option. What hope is there for a life of her own?

Join us Sunday when veteran Harlequin author Elizabeth Lane will be here to talk about her latest release, HIS SUBSTITUTE BRIDE, set during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Don't miss it!

We'll also draw the winner of Michelle Styles's IMPOVERISHED MISS, CONVENIENT WIFE. There's still time to leave a comment for your shot at winning!
