New & Noteworthy: January 17

• Heather Domin's 2012 novella Allegiance is the first title featured in Brandon Shire's "Hidden Gems" series, spotlighting lesser-known GLBTQ-themed fiction throughout 2014. The post will go up January 24th.

Kim Rendfeld's forthcoming novel The Ashes of Heaven's Pillar has garnered advance praise from historical novelists, calling the story "transportive and triumphant," "captivating," and "refreshing."
