AND drum roll please Gladiator's Honour made the shortlist!!!! It is a major league honor to be shortlisted, particularly with a debut novel, so I am over the moon. I get to pretend I am a very glamourous novelist and hobnob with the cream of the British publishing industry. It is basically the British equivalent of the RITAs.
Nicola Cornick's Lord Greville's Captive which has an unusual historical setting -- the English Civil War also made the shortlist.
