New & Noteworthy: August 15

• Blythe Gifford has been named a recommended author for Read a Romance Month! She invites you to join her in this month-long August celebration by visiting her website, blythegifford.com.

Piers Alexander will be taking part in the Siege of Sherborne Castle as part of the Sealed Knot reenactment society on August 23rd, where in between feats of musketeering he will be reading from his novel THE BITTER TRADE. Then on September 4th, Piers will join author Daniel Pembrey at the Chapter 1 Bookstore in Belair, Luxembourg, for a joint reading complete with a visit from the Brotherhood of Milites Viennenses. Kim Rendfeld's second novel, THE ASHES OF HEAVEN'S PILLAR, will be released August 28, kicking off a virtual tour that will last until September 30th. A companion to Kim's debut THE CROSS AND THE DRAGON, the novel is about a medieval mother and the lengths she will go to protect her children. • Michelle Styles' latest title, SAVED BY THE VIKING WARRIOR, will be released in print in the US on August 19th. Her upcoming novel, TAMING HIS VIKING WOMAN, will be out in February 2015.
